The latest incarnation for sledges.co.uk is a customised prestashop theme which brings more back end features and easier control of shipping zones, customer management, product management, category management and image display.
This started out as an Actinic ecommerce site, moving on to a DotNetNuke with aspdotnetstorefront system and now to Prestashop.
There’s been some work done with .htaccess 301 redirects to maintain existing cached links in Google’s index but the new xml sitemap and product feed, as well as some more economical url rewriting should make it easier for visitors and search engines to find the right content.
Prestashop has it’s own new range of benefits and bugs which Callisti is enjoying learning all about 🙂
